The Ballarat Steiner School, Kindergarten & Playgroup in Mt Helen, provides a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. The school provides playgroup, three and four-year old kindergarten, and primary school from Prep to Class 6. We have a unique acreage property with beautiful buildings and gardens, talented and committed teachers, and a diverse school community. For many years the Ballarat Steiner School’s focus has been on delivering a high quality and rich educational experience to children. We provide a hands on creative approach to the teaching of literacy, numeracy and natural science. Children are also engaged in an imaginative and artistic program that includes painting, drawing, modeling, eurythmy, cooking, woodwork and gardening. Music, including a strings program, recorder and singing are taught and played throughout the primary school and is an integral part of the daily classroom activities. The school provides excellence in all areas of the curriculum and equips children with all the skills to move effortlessly and confidently into secondary school.
