About The Brown Hilll Pub Established in 1861 the Brown Hill Hotel is one of the oldest Hotels in Ballarat. It is situated on the Yarrowee Creek next to one of the three permanent waterholes along the Creek length. It is at the foot of Brown Hill, and from the 1861 geological map appears to be in the same location as the present hotel, 385 Humffray Street North. The Brown Hill Hotel is located in Ballarat’s northern region less than two minutes from the Western Freeway – Daylesford [C292] exit. It is located next to Brown Hill Reserve which includes a great modern kids playground, the Brown Hill Cricket Oval and Brown Hill Swimming Pool. Situated on the northern end of Humffray Street, the Brown Hill Hotel offers an array of facilities and entertainment areas for everyone to enjoy.
