St Patrick's Parish Gordon

About

The Parish of Gordon was established in 1875. The parish was originally part of the Archdiocese of Melbourne and was transferred to the Diocese of Ballarat in 1980. The parish incorporates a church and school in each of Ballan, Gordon and Springbank. St Agnes School at Ballan opened in 1858 until 1863 when it was destroyed by fire. At Springbank (Ormond) a Catholic school was built in 1865. St Patrick’s Primary School Gordon was established in 1890. Our area consists of many small communities including Bolwarrah, Bunding, Millbrook, Mollongghip, Mt. Egerton and Mt. Wallace. Our Vision is that all parishioners and visitors are welcomed as family and nourished as the Body of Christ.
